THE STRAY DOGS

Ever wondered what happened to one of your favorite drivers ? We're curious too, so we decided to dig up some of these drivers and let the fans know what's happening with them.

Jerry Glanville, best known as the coach for the Houston Oilers and the Atlanta Falcons, is probably best remembered in racing for driving the #81 FORD F-150 truck in the Craftsman Truck series. Then he sort of disappeared from the racing scene. Or so people thought. Jerry has been racing all along, just not in NASCAR. He's won several titles in the NHRA and Fun Fords dragster series. He's also driving a limited schedule in the ARCA series due to limited sponsorship. Some folks know he's still doing football commentary work during football season. What they don't know is some of the other things besides racing and football that Jerry does. He does a lot of public speaking. He is involved with supporting our troops over in Iraq and has been there to show his support. He's also involved with charity work. Two of the charities he supports are the Race Against Childhood Cancer and the Race Against Alzheimer's Disease. Jerry's mom was affected by Alzheimer's, so he has a vested interest in this program. What does the future hold for Jerry ? He'll continue as a commentator, supporting our troops, doing speaking engagements, his charity work, and hopefully find a full-time sponsor for his ARCA team. With everything Jerry is involved in, he'd make a great representative for any sponsor in any racing series.
